Senior Crew Leader
Blue Energy Electric is seeking a Senior Solar Crew Leader to grow their career in residential solar. This is a full-time and permanent position. Our Senior Solar Crew Leaders are a vital part of our team and we take pride in hiring and training the best.
•As a Solar Installer, your responsibilities are to assemble, install, and/or maintain/service solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on roofs or other structures in accordance with design plans
•May include but not be limited to; measuring, cutting, attaching, and assembling structural framing (racking systems), solar modules and other necessary components to complete a solar installation
•Assemble all components of a residential solar system
•Handle trenching and concrete work
•Structurally mount racking and electrical equipment and effectively seal all penetrations
•Maintain a clean worksite and safe working environment
•Properly use Personal Protective Equipment
•May require some travel from time to time
•Attend mandatory training sessions on new products, installation methodology and safety meetings
•Other duties as may be assigned from time to time
•2+ years relative solar experience, including battery installation experience
•Knowledge of residential electrical and structural systems, blueprints and spec sheets
•Strong understanding of NEC codes with emphasis on residential PV installations
•Proficient on the installation of grid-tied and micro inverter applications
•Excellent customer service skills including verbal and written communications
•Must possess a valid driver’s license in the state of Florida
•Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal and driving
•Must maintain a clean driving record
•Ability to make multiple trips up and down a ladder, daily
•Ability to lift, squat, deadlift, pull and carry up to 50 lbs., daily
•Ability to work at the ground level, kneeling, or bending daily
•Ability to kneel and stand repeatedly (lunges) on a daily basis
•Comfortable in tight spaces (attic, crawlspaces, etc)
